Montuori number

Figure 6-21 shows a linear limit between the Vedernikov and the Montuori numbers. Below the line, no slug flow occurs and the flow is stable. Above the line, slug flow occurs.

If the calculations of the Vedernikov and Montuori numbers indicate that the flow is of a slug type, it will be necessary to determine the intermediate points from which unstable rolling waves would be generated.
