Monosaccharides, surfactants derived

The surfactant (50) aggregates in 1 1 chlorofoim/cyclohexane to form reverse micelles which can bind and solubilize monosaccharides, e.g., glucose, in ntm-polar cn-ganic solvents. The extraction of saccharides into CDCI3 by phenylboionic add derivatives is covered in Chapter 7.
