Fig. 9.1 Immunolocalization of Adenosine Receptor A (FITC, green) in mouse myocardium using mouse monoclonal primary antibody after blocking mouse endogenous immunoglobulins by preincubation with unconjugated Fab fragment Goat Antimouse IgG. Red color accounts for cardiomyocytes and erythrocytes autofluorescence captured under illumination with a filter excit ing the autofluorescence in red spectrum. Nuclei are counterstained with DAPI (blue). Courtesy of Stephanie Grote... Some biodnylated andbodies will not react with some secondary reagents. If this is the case (which can only be established by experiment), it is possible to use one biotinylated primary antibody together with a second, unconjugated, primary antibody and a fluorescein-labeled and-Ig. The cells are incubated with the biotinylated antibody followed by streptavidin-PE together with the second primary monoclonal antibody, followed by an andmouse Ig conjugated to fluorescein. [Pg.382]

Kaminski et al. (1986) observed that ricin was considerably more toxic to macrophages when conjugated to monoclonal antibody B-6 than unconjugated ricin. [Pg.652]
