Molecular weight averaging polymer chain conformation

The mechano-chemical degradation of the polymer solutions under the intense stirring action (stirrer speed varying from 12,000 to 45,000 rot/min) determines the decrease of the average molecular weight by a chained radicalic mechanism [1042-1049]. In this case, the solution concentration and solvent quality, which governs the macromolecules conformation in solution, were found to be the fundamental factors that affect the process [1045-1050].
