Mineral matter geological dependence

Coal combustion. The extent and chemical composition of the mineral content of coal depends very much on the geology of the site from where the coal was obtained. Metal atoms are diverse and may include Fe, Al, Ca, Na, K, Ti and Mg and non metals usually include O, Cl, S, P and Si. The extent and combination of the mineral matter will affect the corrosion potential of a particular coal. An extensive review of the mineral content of coal was provided by Raask [1985],... [Pg.167]
