The RICs shown in Figure 3.20 show a small contribution from ions at m/z 251 and 229 to the mass spectrum of the component eluting after 5.10 min. If these two ions were genuinely associated with those of m/z 163, 195 and 217, it must be possible to explain them as adducts of the molecular species postulated above, i.e. at m/z 163. No adducts readily spring to mind to account for the mass differences of 66 and 88 Da. [Pg.81]

The reason for calculating the mass required for such a small radius is that the radius is the Bohr radius of the hydrogen atom, so a black hole the size of an atom would be very heavy and somewhat elusive. Quickly many questions spring to mind about atomic sized black holes. [Pg.107]
