Migration ability

Numerous data on kinetics of annular tautomerism have been obtaifled for the degenerate rearrangements of pyrazole derivatives. Since all these rearrangements were found to be intramolecular, we can compare kinetic measurements carried out in different media. The following order of increase in migration ability of various groups is established ... [Pg.205]

Nevertheless, during hydrogenation of the dimethylcyclohexenes, the fact that the quantities of trans isomer increase with the double bond migration ability of the various catalysts90 suggests that double bond migration sites (or the sites nearby) are involved in apparent trans addition. [Pg.43]

Since edges (and presumably ledges) are now associated with double bond migration,98 and since apparent trans addition is a function of the double bond migration ability of various catalysts, perhaps such locations can produce both processes. The fact that tetrasubstituted alkenes hydrogenate much more slowly than tri-, di-, or monosubsituted alkenes would allow greater... [Pg.45]

A similar pattern had been observed earlier with p-phenyl-substituted carbocations. Relative migration ability of phenyl and substituted phenyl groups were determined for the first time, not by focusing on carbocations formed via aliphatic series as structural models, but rather by studying 9-ary 1-9,10-dimethylphenanthrenium ions (18, 19). [Pg.132]

In order to eliminate columnar structures it is necessary to increase the migration ability of atoms and molecules on the surface and also to remove the involvement of clusters in the process of growth. To prevent the participation of clusters and nanoparticles during growth and in order to create the conditions for highly perfect ZnO layers s mthesis, we explored the possibility of ZnO layers growth according to VLS-model. [Pg.21]

In the case that the secondary AO moiety is immobilized, like in [183] or in NBR grafted with 2- [3-(dodecylthio)-2-methylpropionyl]oxy ethyl methacrylate [225], at least some migration ability must be exhibited by the primary AO synergism stronger than that with DLTP was observed [183] in PP stabilized with 141 and Irganox 1010 (3) and in SBR stabilized with the NBR grafted with 2,6-di-fert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl methacrylate [225]. [Pg.159]

The objective in the preparation of supported catalysts is to have the catalytically active crystallites separated. When this is the case the only way sintering can occur is if the catalyst particulates migrate across the support surface or if there is a vapor phase sintering promoter present in the reaction medium. The lower the catalyst load and the higher the support surface area, the less likely that sintering will take place. The migration ability of the catalytically active species depends primarily on the strength with which it is bonded to the support. If there is a weak interaction the catalyst particles can move across the support... [Pg.154]
