Optical analysis of pure iPP and HDPE extrudates shows that the two semicristalline polymers exhibit spherulitic and microsphe-rulitic structure respectively (Figs. 8 and 9). It is to be noted that the HDPE microspherulites are oriented along telescopic decentralized patterns.
