2-Methylpropene, heat hydrogenation

Methyl-l-propanol, l3C NMR spectrum of. 453 2-Methylpropene, heat of hydrogenation of. 187 Mevalonate, decarboxylation of, 1075 isopentenyl diphosphate from, 1072-1075... [Pg.1306]

The heat of hydrogenation of cw-2-butene, in which the two alkyl substituents are on the same side of the double bond, is similar to that of 2-methylpropene, in which the two alkyl substituents are on the same carbon. The three dialkyl-substituted alkenes are all less stable than a trialkyl-substituted alkene and are all more stable than a monoalkyl-substituted alkene. [Pg.174]
