The ground state conformations of ethyl and isopropyl groups in some heteracyclohexanes (94IJC(B)971), and of the methoxy group in methoxy-cyclohexane with adjacent methyl group substitution (94JCS(P2)1965) were studied by vicinal H,H and H,C coupling constants, respectively, and by molecular mechanics calculations. 

Amino-1 -methoxy-cyclohexan 0,1 Mol 3-Methoxy-anilin werden in 30 ml wasserfrcicm tert.-Butanol gelost und bei 80780-100 bar unter Zusatz von 0,2 g des obigen Katalysators hydriert. Die Wasserstoff-Aufnahme ist nach 2,5 Stdn. beendet. Der Ansatz wird destillativ aufgearbeitet Ausbeute 84% d.Th. Kp23 ... 

Wird 3-Methoxy-anilin unter ahnlichen Bedingungen mit handelsiiblichem Ruthe-nium(IV)-oxid in Methanol oder Athanol hydriert, so erhalt man lediglich 35,5°/o d.Th. 3-Amino-1 -methoxy-cyclohexan. Noch starkere Unterschiede sindbeim 4-Dimethylami-... 

Amino-l-methoxy-cyclohexan 12,2 g (0,1 Mol) 3-Methoxy-anilin werden in 30 ml tert.-Butanol gelost und mit 0,2 g Lithium-dotiertem Rhodium(III)-oxid (s. u.) bei 80°/80-l 00 bar in einem 2(J0-m/-Autokiaven hy-driert. Danach wird destillativ aufgearbeitet Ausbeute 12,15 g (95% d.Th.). 

Mit einem handeliiblichen Rhodium-Aluminiumoxid-Katalysator werden bei 60° lediglich 72%, mit Rho-dium/Kohle in Essigsaure bei 60° 70% d.Th. 3-Amino-1-methoxy-cyclohexan erhalten. 

Unter den gleichen Bedingungen entsteht bei Verwendung von Rutheniumhydroxid 81,8% 1,3-Dimethoxy-cyclohexan neben 16,9% Methoxy-cyclohexan. 

Addition of HCl to 1-methoxycyclohexene yields 1-chloro-l-methoxy-cyclohexane as the sole product. Use resonance structures to explain why none of the other regioisomer is formed.
