Consistent with the above mentioned trend of little MET-I cross-resistance from mites resistant to other types of acaricides, the MET-I resistant strains are, likewise, less likely to confer cross-resistance to other classes of acaricides and insecticides. A patient showed a marked increase in his response to acenocoumarol when exposed to insecticides containing ivermectin and methidathion. Another patient was resistant to the effects of warfarin after very heavy exposure to a toxaphene and lindane-containing insecticide.
