Metering of Two-Component Products

In order to give our readers a good idea of what can he done in large installations, we describe hereunder a metering and mixing machine which is used in large plants for furniture and woodworking.

This equipment is used to feed the glue mix automatically to various woodworking machines such as roll coaters, jointing machines, plywood machines, furniture assembling machines and laminating machines. 

A high-intensity mixer mixes and homogenises both eomponents into a small volvune tank. The property of the glue mixer is that it always exceeds the required ouq ut. Thus the machine works in a discontinuous way. The equipment has two tanks for the two different components and level detectors for each component. 

The mixing ratio of each component, including catalysts and additives, is controlled in order to have a fully automated production, which does not require monitoring by an operator. Mixing accuracy is 1% for each component.
