Metaphosphoric acid HPO

The most important reaction of phosphorus pentoxide is its hydrolysis. The hexagonal form reacts with water vigorously to form metaphosphoric acid (HPOs)n which hydrolyzes further to yield phosphoric acid, H3PO4 ... [Pg.714]

Metaphosphoric acid (HPO ) 1 3% and 15% solutions. These can be stored in a refrigerator for four days. [Pg.53]

HPOs (c). Giran1 found the heat of solution in water to form aque-metaphosphoric acid to be 9.76. [Pg.220]

Metaphosphoric Acid Solution. Dissolve 50 g. of HPOs sticks or pellets in approximately 900 ml. of water that has been distilled from glass apparatus. Make up to 1 liter with distilled water. HPO undergoes hydrolysis in aqueous solution, forming HjP04 hence this solution should be made up weekly. Store in a refrigerator. [Pg.120]

Hn+2Pn03n+i polyphos-phoric acids (HPOs)n metaphosphoric acids... [Pg.19]
