Metal-organic frameworks coordination numbers

With the recent advances in coordination chemistry, chemists can imagine the design and fabrication of CPs with even more complex topologies and structures. The best illustration of the high flexibility that offers the use of coordination chemistry is the recent synthesis of coordination tubular architectures. However, even though it is possible to find a reasonable number of tubular metal-organic frameworks in the literature, most of these systems correspond to 3D networks with tubular pore channels and not to discrete ID coordination tubes. [Pg.1432]
