Chlorphenamine has a half-life of 2-43 hours, due to variable hepatic metabolism and genetic polymorphisms in cytochrome CYP2D6. The authors speculated that the patient might have reduced CYP2D6 activity, but this could not be confirmed as the patient did not agree to be genotyped [9 ].
