Mercury laurate

The vinyl laurate, which has an acid number of about 2, usually contains a small quantity of mercury at this stage, from which it can be separated by decantation. 

Gupta arrived at the conclusion about the formation of condensed micellar films when studying the adsorption of methyl orange on mercury by the tensammetric method.
