Melt flow rate stabilisers

The torch consists of three concentric quartz tubes (Fig. 3.8). The plasma gas, introduced between the intermediate tube and the external tube at a flow rate of 12 to 201/min, feeds the plasma, stabilises it in the centre of the torch and cools the external tube in order to prevent it from deforming or melting.
