Meld line

A meld line is similar to a weld line except the flow fronts move in parallel rather than meet head. Usually the meld line is identified as a weld line. [Pg.176]

The other two kinds of plots have been used more in the past but are generally not quite as instructive as the first two. For the N = 2 circuit, they never give two semicircles but, at best, lead to a single semicircle melding into a vertical line at its right end. Thus, the fact that there are two time constants present does not show up so clearly, and not all the circuit element values follow as readily from these plots. There thus seems tg be little reason to use Y and plots rather than lrX and ones, at least in the initial stages of an investigation. [Pg.170]

The approach that chemists use to deal with the inadequacy of bond-line structures is called resonance. According to this approach, we draw more than one bond-fine structure and then mentally meld them together ... [Pg.67]
