Melaleuca squarrosa

Another regioisomeric type of connection was recently unveiled by Yoshida and associates who isolated a related dimer, melasquanin A (47), from Melaleuca squarrosa (Myrtaceae). In this dimer, the stachyurin part is C-1 connected to a carbon center of the 2,3-HHDP unit of a casuarinin-derived moiety, again with a f3-orientation from the C-1...
