Medical imaging modalities

Three-dimensional (3D) medical image processing is a large field that has evolved in recent years, leading to a major improvement in patient care. The revolutionary capabilities of new 3D and 4D medical imaging modalities, along with computer reconstruction. 

The performances of proposed transform-based compression methods are analyzed on a set of gray infensity medical images collected from medical imaging modalities such as MRI and CT and from different body districts. These images are represented in different planes, viz., sagittal, coronal, and axial.
