Puzzle, maze

Consider how you might approach solving the maze puzzle in Figure 1.10. The aim is to start at a predefined location and then travel through the maze to reach a desired exit point. A number of potential paths may be pursued, resulting in many final states.

I couldn t help including a few mind-stretching puzzles in this book, although most would be considered too difficult to solve even by Ph.Ds in mathematics. Nevertheless, reading through the questions and solutions should be sufficiently mind-expanding to justify their inclusion. Similar kinds of puzzles have been discussed in my earlier books, such as The Alien 7Q Test and Mazes for the Mind.
