Matrix isolation experimental techniques advantages

There is no question that RP-HPLC is a very powerful separation technique for proteins. This is evidenced by the large number of papers published using this methodology. The preceding sections describe the various parameters that must be con dered to take full advantage of RP-HPLC. Since our understanding of the details of the interaction between the matrix and proteins is at best incomplete, the use of RP-HPLC is still an experimental method rather than a predictive method. Even with that caveat, RP-HPLC has and will continue to greatly enhance our ability to isolate proteins. [Pg.16]
