Marine algae description

Most of the algae were collected close to Kristineberg Marine Biological Station, at the west coast of Sweden, and immediately used for experiments (10). Steady state rates of photosynthesis were measured in a flowthrough system as changes in O2 content and pH of the passing seawater (10,11). A closer description of cdculations and preparation of G-free seawater are presented in the first part of this series and references therein (10). 

This is a multipurpose marine hatchery located on the coast of NSW (Fig. 19.1) that enables the use of brackish and freshwater for breeding Australian bass. The facility has a combination of outdoor ponds, tanks and indoor culture facilities for algae, rotifers, Artemia and hsh. Detailed descriptions are found in Fielder and Heasman (2011).
