The presence of flexible PEO and PPO blocks increases the viscosities of block copolymer solutions, this tendency is manifesting itself the stronger the greater is the PEO and PPO content in block copolymers. 

The same equatorial preference is also manifested in the 3,3-disubstituted thietane oxides66,194. Thus, the NMR spectra of 5e,f contain two Me singlets at 1.23 and 1.30 ppm and two methylene multiplets at 3.03 and 3.53 ppm (in CDC13). The large difference in the chemical shifts of the axial and equatorial a-methylene hydrogens is characteristic of an axial nonbonded electron pair on sulfur (conformation 5e equation 73). This conformational preference is corroborated by the small differences in the chemical shifts of the two methyl groups, and fits the contention that 1,3-diaxial interactions are responsible for this ultimate result. Certainly, these interactions are greater in the conformer 5f. 

In case of the use of polycrystalline adsorbent subject to high temperature oxidation and characterized by almost stoichiometric content of the surface its electric conductivity can be linked with penetration of the current carriers through high intercrystalline barriers. The effect of adsorption on electric conductivity of adsorbents of such type is mainly manifested through the change of heights in intercrystalline barriers controlled by the value of the surface charge.

If the probabilities are equal (case 1), I+, I and Iav are the same and Iav corresponds to the maximum information content, Iav = Imax. In cases 2 and 3, where the a priori probabilities are different, the expected (more probable) result yields the respective lower information contents whereas the unexpected (less probable) result manifests in high values of the specific information. 

Most commonly, the lipid metabolism pathology is manifest as hyperlipemia (elevated concentration of lipids in blood) and tissue lipidoses (excessive lipid de-position in tissues). As the concentration of Ge(IV) was increased in the electroless solution, the deposition rate decreased rapidly, while the Ge content in the deposits increased (Fig. 11(b)). In contrast to a Ni-Ge-P solution employing a complexant such a citrate, increasing the concentration of Ge(IV) in the aspartate solution does not significantly alter the concentration of uncomplexed Ni2+ species through consumption of aspartate by Ge(IY). Thus, the decrease in deposition rate is associated with the soft character of the latter, which manifests itself in terms of strong adsorption on the Ni-Ge-P surface thereby inhibiting the electroless deposition process.
