Manganese bromopentacarbonyl

Phosphine can also replace a carbonyl group in bromopentacarbonyl manganese The compound, BrMn(CO)4PH3, shows a doublet in the H n.m.r. spectrum, r = 6.58, /p H = 355 Hz. [Pg.50]

Bromopentacarbonyl-manganese and -rhenium react readily with perfluoro-1-methylpropenylsilver to give good yields of the perfluoro-(l-methylpro-penyl)pentacarbonyl compounds (10). ... [Pg.298]

This complex is prepared from bromopentacarbonyl rhenium (1.22 g, 3.0 mmol) and Ag(03SCF3) (0.98 g, 3.8 mmol) by a procedure analogous to that employed for the manganese compound. The reaction is complete after 2.5 h of stirring at room temperature. After adding 20 mL of hexane to the filtered and concentrated reaction solution at room temperature the CH2CI2 is removed slowly in vacuo to precipitate Re(C0)5(03SCF3) as a white powder. Yield 1.14 g, 80%, (the checkers obtained 68% yield on the initial filtration and 10% more from the reaction flask). [Pg.115]
