Male cap nut

First the female cap nut is raised with the left hand. Then, pressing the female cap nut up to the under surface of the flange of the reference cell with the left hand, the laboratory jack is lowered. After the female cap nut, into which the reference cell is inserted, has been detached down from the stainless steel jig in with the left hand, the male cap nut is screwed lightly into the female cap nut with the right hand. [Pg.299]

Note 3—As an alternative, the cylinder can be equipped with A-in. male NPT to a 6.3S-mm ( A-in.) outside diameter tubing plug valve. Then a 6.35-mm tube fitting nut can be used with the septum, thus avoiding the necessity of drilling a brass cap. [Pg.740]
