Loxopterygium huasango

Lafoensia acuminata (Ruiz Pav.) DC. (Lythraceae) loxopterygium huasango Spruce ex Engl. (Anacardiaceae)... [Pg.266]

Hualtaco gum appears to be derived from Loxopterygium huasango (5). D-Galacturonic acid has been identified in ketha gum (d), as surmised in (7). A tentative, highly branched structure recently proposed for mangle gum (from Rhizophora mangle L.) (7) accords well with most of the deductions made from the quantitative data on the cross-reactions of the gum in anti-Pn I, II, VI, XIV, and XXIII (8). [Pg.288]
