Limits on the Higgs mass

As it turns out, in this case the largest contribution comes from the W loop. [Pg.97]

The decay rate relative to Z has been analysed by several [Pg.97]

The exact result, given in Fig. 6.3, shows that even with 10 Z s one ends up with about 10-20 events for light mH( 40GeV/c ). The process becomes comparable to Z Hff for mn 60 GeV/c but is also rather hopeless at LEP. [Pg.97]

The above resume should at least give the reader some flavour of the difficulties to be faced by a prospective Higgs hunter [Dawson et al. (1989)]. [Pg.97]

There are also theoretical arguments which place some constraints on mn. In Section 3.1 we discussed the Higgs potential V p) = + Xp  [Pg.97]

In what follows we consider briefly three aspects of Higgs searches (i) Higgs decay, (ii) Higgs production at the mass, and (iii) limits on the Higgs mass. [Pg.91]
