Ligand synthesis electron counting

Electron-beam heating, in metal vapor synthesis, 1, 232 Electron-beam vaporization, in metal vapor synthesis, 1, 224 Electron correlation, and computational chemistry, 1, 642 Electron counting, in transition metal complexes bridging ligands, 1, 14 examples, 1, 9 ligand electrons, 1, 5/... [Pg.100]

The complexes containing terminal bridging ligands with open coordination sites, namely [(tpy)Ru(tpp)Ru(tpp)](PF6)4, [(tpy)Os(tpp)Ru(tpp)](PF6)4, and [(tpy)Ru(tpp)Ru(dpq)Cl](PF6)3, are capable of being covalently incorporated into a larger supramolecular system as light absorber-electron donor units. The first step toward this incorporation has been the synthesis of the bimetallic species [(tpy)Ru(tpp)MCl3](PF6)2 (M = Ir, Rh) [63,64]. Despite their similarity in structure and electron count, they exhibit very different electrochemical and excited state properties. [Pg.179]
