Lens culinaris Agglutinin Dynamics and Binding Studies 

Students should perform a set of three experiments. The best way to perform these experiments is to have different groups working separately on the three types of experiments. This needs at least three persons present to supervise the experiments and to help the students when necessary. Each experiment can be conducted during half a day or one day. The last day should be used to regroup the results and to discuss the data. 

1 Experiment 1. Studies on the Accessibility of I- to a Fluorophore Quenching of Fluorescein Fluorescence with Kl 

The following experiment aims to help students perform a dynamic quenching experiment and to find out the role of the fluorophore micro-environment in the modification of the dynamic constants. 

Before entering the laboratory, students should be able to differentiate between dynamic and static quenching.
