Another new concept for controlUng a polymorph of calcium carbonate as schematically shown in Fig. 7 was proposed by Naka et al. [99]. The key point of the method is using a latent inductor for crystal nucleation. The latent inductor at the inactive state does not affect the nucleation and growth of a crystal. After the inactive state is transferred to an active state by a stimulus, the active inductor can control the nucleation and growth of the crystal.
