Lasiocarpic acid

Alkaloids of Heliotropium lasiocarpum. Decomposition of lasiocarpic acid and its esters in solutions of alkali. [Pg.121]

The C7 acids of this group, shown in Chart II, are essentially oxygenated derivatives of 2,3-dihydroxy-2-isopropylbutyric acid, while latifolic acid has one of the methyl groups replaced by a carboxyl group. The configuration of lasiocarpic acid at C is the same as in trachelanthic and heliotrinic acids. [Pg.282]
