Landau-Zener maximum

A method has been described11 to get information on the crossing distance Rc from the position of the maximum in the excitation cross section. It is assumed that the excitation process can be described within the framework of the Landau-Zener model, and that the shape of the two potentials involved is known in the vicinity of Rc.
