Lamellicolic anhydride

The foregoing synthesis also comprises a synthesis of the naphthalic anhydride (8) which co-occurs with (1) in P. herquei and can be obtained from it by oxidation in vitro 4). A synthesis of (8) from lamellicolic anhydride (13) has also been reported (75) in a preliminary communication.
