Shaking the Tree Kundalini Yoga. Spiritual Alchemy, the Mysteries of the Breath in Bhogar s 7000 -Lavne Little... [Pg.1]

Bhogar s approach to meditation and Kundalini yoga, as well as his application of mythic images and Hindu ritual are by no means revolutionary. He followed so closely in the footsteps of Saiva Siddhanta s 8th century founder Tirumoolar that one is often amazed at the continuity of teaching and principle preserved and sustained over a period of one thousand years. [Pg.7]

This is more that just a map of consciousness or a technical manual on Kundalini Yoga. What may at first appear as Bhogar s inability to be clear and concise, I assure you, is neither empty embellishment, nor the rantings of a madman. The images which he uses are not digressions in the narrative, but a carefully structured stream of ideas and symbols. [Pg.57]

Now the object of Kundalini Yoga is to awaken this coiled and sleeping force by Pranayama and other Yogic practices, so that it shall become dynamic. She is thereupon immediately drawn upwards to that other static centre in Sahasrara, the Thousand-petalled Lotus, which is, in fact. Herself, but in union with the Shiva-consciousness, or the consciousness of ecstasy beyond the world of forms. When she sleeps man is awake in the material world, but when she awakens the Yogi loses all consciousness of the world and enters his causal body, passing thus to formless consciousness. [Pg.18]

Eliade, Forge and Crucible, p. 120. Kundalini yoga was one method or practice for this embodied transformation or alchemy. [Pg.181]
