Section 8(a) inventory violations are assessed per chemical and 8(a) lUR violations are assessed per chemical per site. The Consent Agreement in In the Matter ofKanto Corporatiori provides an example of violations being assessed per chemical per site for violations of the lUR. Kanto Corporation (Kanto) was penalized for faifing to file a form U lUR report for six chemical substances on time. The form was required to be filed by December 23,2002. 

Tetrahydrofuran was predried over potassium hydroxide, then dried by distillation from sodium/benzophenone ketyl under nitrogen. The checkers purchased anhydrous tetrahydrofuran from Kanto Chemical Corporation and used it as received. 

Starting powders are BaTiOj (Kanto Chemical Co., Tokyo, Japan). SrTiOj powder used with mixed solvent is from Hi Purity Chemicals Laboratory. Since this SrTiOj has a large particle size (average size 10/.im), therefore for ethanol solvent system SrTiOj (average Size l/im) form a different source (Transelco Division of Ferro Corporation, ...
