Jet Flow Model and Simulation Techniques

The governing equations are the normalized Navier-Stokes and continuity equations for incompressible viscous flows  [Pg.88]

The numerical method used in this research was developed by Akselvoll and Moin [8] for backward facing step and was modified by Bewley et al. [9] for plane [Pg.88]

The convection boundary condition for the velocity field suggested by Sani and Gresho [10] is used for the open boundaries  [Pg.89]

In the buffer zone, i.e., between the physical domain and the open boundary, the damping terms are added to the right-hand side (RHS) of Navier Stokes equations  [Pg.89]

The overlap of streamwise- and normal-direction buffer zone is divided by a 45-degree split. The Neumann boundary condition Vp n = 0 is applied along all the boundaries. [Pg.90]
