Isoxazolin-5-one hydrogenation

An ethanolic soln. of 2-phenyl-4-carbethoxy-zl -isoxazolin-5-one hydrogenated with Raney-Ni at room temp, and atmospheric pressure until Hg-uptake ceases after an equimolar quantity has been absorbed -> -carbethoxy- -anilinoacrylic acid.
