Isopropyl benzene toxicity

Cumene. Cumene (isopropyl benzene OES 25 ppm 8 h TWA) also shows CNS and irritant effects and can penetrate the skin. It appears somewhat more toxic than xylene or toluene. Kidney effects have been seen in animals at higher exposure levels. [Pg.90]

The use, for instance, of I PA for isopropanol or isopropyl acetate of tri or TC for trichloroethylene or 1,1,1-trichloroethane can lead to errors that are very serious. Highly toxic benzene can all too easily be confused, in dealings with Europe, for benzin, a comparatively low toxicity materiai. [Pg.5]
