Iron Carbonyls with Se-donor Ligands

The chemistry of iron carbonyls with organoselenium ligands has many parallels to the chemistry of the related thiolates. For example, the fac-amon [Fe(GO)3(SePh)3] is known and is a starting material for making other iron carbonyl selenato derivatives (Equations (101) and (102)). Synthesis and structural characterization of [(OOaFef/t-SePh)3M(/t-SePh)3Fe(CO)3] (M = Zn(ll), Cd(ll), Ni(ii), Fe(ll)) have been reported.
