Ionic Liquids in Hydrogenation Reactions

Imidazolium-based ionic liquids, mostly the [BF4] and [PF6] salts, are commonly employed for hydrogenation reactions and it has been observed, that anions like triflate and acetate, which are reasonably good ligands, can deactivate the catalyst.[15]
