Iodine decay schemes

One possible iodine-removal scheme uses O2 or 02-b D2 stripping [15]. The iodine is scrubbed from the fuel solution by the gas in one contactor and then stripped from the gas by heavy water in a second contactor. This water would then be let down to low pressure and stored for decay or processed to remove iodine. [Pg.324]
