Intracerebroventricular drug infusion

Compared to other excitotoxic drugs, ibotenate has relatively lesser epileptogenic effects (Zaczek and Coyle 1982). However, intracerebroventricular infusion of ibotenic acid (6 nmol/min) induces clonic convulsions in mice (Laudrup and Klitgaard 1993).
