Interview and Documenting It

There is an opportunity to close on a very pleasant note. Make sure you ask the key question, Is there anything else related to this incident I should be asking you, or that you think it is important to know  

Review your notes while the person is still available, if appropriate. 

Thank them for their time, efforts, and factual responses. 

Ask them to call you if they think of anything else in the next few days. 

Write Up the results of the interview including the interviewee s name, title, date, and time of the interview. If your minutes were poorly documented, then revise them.
