Intergranular corrosion definition

Metallographic examination of metallic core remaining showed basic structure characteristic of corrosion resistant alloy, but with definite evidence of cracks and intergranular corrosion. It is not clear whether or not the cracks existed before corrosion testing. [Pg.164]
