Intelligent database

IDRAC Regulatory Intelligence Database. Weekly. URL http //www.idrac.com. Formerly produced by IMS, the IDRAC database system is a massive compilation of more than 34,000... [Pg.127]

The database approach is more straightforward and is well suited if user-defined databases with similar structures can be compiled. As previously mentioned, the advantage of the database approach is that the database can be compiled individually without needing the corresponding infrared spectra. This method can be seen as an intelligent database search. The success rate of this method depends on the chosen descriptor parameters. With the experimental conditions previously described, the database approach requires no experience in interpreting RDF descriptors and is therefore well suited for routine analysis. [Pg.190]

Almost all the industrialized countries have created a national DNA database for intelligence purposes. Depending upon the age of the database, and the legal framework limiting its use, between 0.1% and 2% of the population is usually on file. When the size of the database increases, the success rate reaches impressive level. For the largest databases available, the source of a crime scene trace is revealed by the database in more than 50% of the cases. The trend in most countries is then to adjust the limits of the database so as to include all the individuals ever convicted of a crime. It can be predicted that the DNA profiles of more than 10 million persons will be stored in DNA intelligence databases worldwide by 2010. [Pg.1645]

Since many computerized prediction problems involved in this intelligent database are problems of small sample size, support vector machine plays an important role in the model-building for this intelligent database [7]. [Pg.143]
