When I was doing nny house jobs (as we called them in those days before the start of the First World War) and during years as a medical SHO, every doctor I knew carried a copy of Robinson and Stott s Medical Emergencies in the pocket of their white coat. Unlike every other textbook that we owned, this one told you what to do when in trouble. It also had a brilliant index, including my favourite entry, Blue, patient turning 22-24 . [Pg.32]
