Alkvl-Substituted Sulfonamides. Class III delayed activity was observed in the methyl-(II), ethyl-(III), isopropyl-(IV), and diethyl-(VI) substituted sulfonamides however, the t-butyl-analog (V) shewed no toxicity (Table 2). Hie cause of its inactivity is unknown but may be related to increased steric bulk. Hie active members of this group were close to being in the highly desirable Class IV category. [Pg.230]
