Immunoblotting immunocytochemistry

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP EC 1.11.1.7) is the most widely used enzyme label for antibodies. It is relatively small (44 kDa), stable, and has a broad specificity that allows is to be measured by absorption, fluorescence, and luminescence. Several of its products are intensely colored, which makes the enzyme convenient to use for immunocytochemistry and immunoblotting applications. [Pg.231]

Uses or application - The methods where the antibody has been tried are generally any of the following immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), or immunofluorescence (IF) western blot (WB) or immunoblot (IB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). This information should... [Pg.14]

HMG-CoA reductase is the one anomaly in that immunocytochemistry and immunoblotting have localized HMG-CoA reductase to both the ER and the peroxisomes ... [Pg.405]

In S-IBM muscle fibers, our studies have demonstrated proteasomal abnormalities, as evidenced by (a) abnormal accumulation of 26S proteasome subunits by immunocytochemistry and immuno-electron microscopy (b) increased expression of 26S proteasome subunits by immunoblots but, contrastingly (c) reduced activities of the three major proteasomal proteolytic enzymes [11]. This indicates accumulation of hypo-active/inactive proteasomal subunit proteins. [Pg.123]

The presence of PSA on NCAM is regulated during embryonic development. Immunocytochemistry and immunoblotting experiments using the mouse IgG iso-type-2a monoclonal antibody 735 (mAb 735) and bacteriophage endoneuramini-dase H, which reduces the length of the PSA chain and abolishes immunoreactivity with mAb 735, demonstrated the expression and function of PSA. [Pg.2007]
