Immobilized to silicon

20 g activated silica gel is scattered in 300 mL anhydrous toluene, 8mL y-chloropropyltriethoxysilane is added and allowed to react for 8 h under nitrogen protection at 110°C. Then it is cooled down to room temperature. Solid product (CD-Si02) is filtered and washed with DMF, toluene and water respectively, dried under vacuum for 48 h. 5g dried fi-CD is dissolved in 50 mL anhydrous DME 0.5 g NaH is added, and allowed to react for 0.5 h. The insoluble materials are filtered, Si02-Cl is added in filtrate, slowly warmed to 90°C and reacted for 24 h. The product (CD-S102) is filtered and washed with DMF, and water in turn, dried under vacuum for 48 h, and the solid product is thus gained. 

Some other methods are immobilized by amino bonds. For example, 6-chlorpromazine-CD and single-6-sulfonic add ester-CD are used as intermediates. Silica gel carrier with the amino groups is used to immobilize CDs to obtain CD silica gel bonded phase.
